Water is a central element in Anzère. Bordered by the Sionne to the west, the Liène to the east, overlooking the Rhone plain and downstream from the Wildhorn glacier, Anzère is surrounded by water. The Bisses, the lakes, the ponds, the snow and therefore the glaciers are all forms that water takes and all have something to offer us.
There are many activities to do "Along the water". If you come to Anzère and decide to follow the paths of the water, it will be impossible to miss the remains of the Grand Bisse d'Ayent. Suspended from a rock face, in an impressive and steep natural setting, you will discover a small wooden conduit that was once used to transport the blue gold. You will be asked to use your imagination to visualise brave men balancing on small wooden logs tapping the stone to cross a path.
